The University of Santiago de Compostela participates in the creation of ConfIA, a network of ten Spanish universities devoted to developing trustworthy artificial intelligence, coordinated through its CiTIUS institute. The network aims to promote joint research projects, attract competitive funding, and transfer knowledge. The university is also involved in the Atlantic Sunset project, which links the last sunset of the Iberian Peninsula to an international network. Construction of its Faculty of Pharmacy has entered a new phase. The university hosts numerous exhibitions and congresses, including the 18th international ESSE conference and the 51st conference of the International Study Group on Wading Birds. It supports 299 research groups with extensive research infrastructure.
