Founded in 1895, the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music is a unique and dynamic organization that brings together primary school, secondary professional education, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. As a leading music educational institution in Russia, it offers about 100 programs covering all fields of music and performing arts, training instrumental performers, conductors, singers, composers, sound engineers, producers, musicologists and other specialists. It has 85 People's and Honored Artists of Russia, 76 PhDs, and numerous professors. It is ranked among the top 100 world universities for performing arts and is the only Russian university with a UNESCO department.
