Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), also known as the industrial university of Isfahan, is one of Iran's major higher education institutions. It has the largest integrated university campus in Iran, covering over 2,300 hectares, located 22 kilometers from Isfahan. The university was established in the Iranian year 1353 (approximately 1974), inspired by MIT and with contributions from American academic advisors. It was initially named Aryamehr Industrial University of Isfahan and was a branch of Sharif University of Technology. The campus includes unique natural features such as mountains, a forest park, and a historical shrine.
