Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) is a national institute for pure and applied mathematics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It conducts research in mathematics and offers graduate programs (master's and doctorate), an undergraduate program called IMPA Tech, and a summer school. IMPA organizes scientific and dissemination events, such as FestMat and the International Conference on Dynamical Systems. It has research themes, researchers, postdoctoral positions, seminars, laboratories, a publishing house, and a library. Recognition facilitates international funding and partnerships. Its 4th edition of FestMat is scheduled to take place from August 27 to 30.
