Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) has been serving science since its founding in 1782. It comprises 8 faculties, 1200 lecturers, 5000 subjects, and 10,000 courses each semester. According to the website, BME ranks among the top 1–2% of more than 50,000 universities worldwide. It has offered English-language programs since 1984, with a growing popularity. The university is the Alma Mater of numerous world-famous inventors, Nobel laureates, and Olympians. BME houses national laboratories and market-oriented R&D laboratories, and it conducts university, national, and international research programs. Its faculties and departments engage in interdisciplinary research and innovation, supported by a quality policy system that meets legal and international expectations.
