The Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University is a state university whose Faculty of Oil and Gas Engineering is one of its leading and historically rich units. Training of engineering personnel at the faculty began in 1920, during the early years of the university’s establishment. Since then, the faculty has trained more than 27,000 oil engineers, over 7,000 bachelors, and nearly 1,500 masters. It continues to operate as one of the main academic centers preparing professional, competitive, and innovative-minded personnel in engineering fields. Education at the faculty covers modern specialties related to the oil and gas industry and aims at developing professionals for this key sector.
